Forced hot air system problem
Is it normal for a forced air heating system to create a suction strong enough to close doors while running?

Is this in a house ? I've never seen a home heating system with enough airflow to close a door.

Yes in a tight energy star home, only occurs on the door going to the cellar, if door is about 4 inches away from closing when the system comes on it will pull the door closed. I should tell you this is our second system in 10 years ,first one died after cracked heat exchanger due to not enough cold air return. Which has been fixed.

That is not good. It would appear that most of the return to your furnace is coming from the cellar and when the cellar door is closed you are restricting the return air to the furnace.
In your first post you mention this exact issue. How was the problem fixed ?
There should have been more returns installed inside the house. It sounds like the returns were added to the basement which is not correcting the problem.

There were a total of 2 additional cold air returns placed, as well as transfer grilles placed above several doors in the second floor. I am beginning think there needs to be more cold air returns and better balance by system...
