Central heating fan keeps cycling

Hi, All,

I have a central heating system in zone 2 that the fan keeps turning on and off every 15 to 20 minutes. Is it normal? I set the temp at 70deg F. I tried to change to a new thermostat or new air filter but it did not help and fan still kicks on and off every 15 to 20 minutes. Is it normal?

Basically, my house has two zones, zone 1 has heating installed in the basement and zone 2 which has central heating system installed in the attic. I set zone 1 temp at 60deg and zone 2 temp at 70deg.

Would the zone 1 temp cause the zone 2 temp to drop? which makes the fans on zone 2 to kick on every 15 to 20 minutes?

I central heating system I have made by Goodman Manufacturing.

Thanks, alot,

You have two systems..... a furnace in the basement and a combination furnace/AC unit in the attic. The basement furnace is fine. The fan keeps cycling on the furnace/AC unit.
Do I have that correct ?

If you remove the upstairs thermostat the fan still cycles ?
What is the model number of the attic furnace ?

First of all, thanks alot Pete for responding and helping me out,

The model is HT-1830 made by Goodman Manufacturing Co. On the label it is said Central Air Cooling Conditioner.

I am not sure how it works with the furnace. I am new to the system. I have checked with the neighbor who has the similar system, they said it is normal that the fan keeps clycling every 15 to 20mins. I take their words however they are new neighbor too.

Thanks, alot,

TT

Hi, Pete, after I removed the Thermostat, the fan stills ran as it was running, then off. I assume you saw my other posts?

Sorry for the delay.

The model number you left for me appears to be for the A/C coil.... not the furnace.
Can you check again for me.
