York - Ingite Retry Failed

York Model: TM9X080B12MP11A

Woke up this morning and furnace was not working. Thermostat was asking for heat. Furnace seemed to be in lockout mode.

Powered off and back on. Set thermostat to heat and watched what happened.

Draft induction fan started.
Igniter powered up and appeared to get plenty hot. Igniter stayed on for 10-15 seconds and then cycled off for several seconds and back on.
Burners never lit, and I did not sense that there was ever a "click" in the system indicating that the gas valve had been activated.

After a few cycles with the igniter, the system stopped trying and the LED on the board gave 7 red flashes. Quick reference inside the cabinet indicated that means "Ignite retry failed".

Help please. Hoping to find a solution without having to call a service tech so late in the heating season (NW Illinois)

If you have a voltmeter & know how to use it, you can check to see if the gas valve is getting 24 volts AC. If it is, you have a bad gas valve. If not, we will need a wiring diagram to help you trace the source of the trouble.
