Hot water heating system with baseboards
My system only works when I keep the zone valve in Open (Pulled down). I have threee zone valve for three different floors. I tried keeping two on Auto (raised up) and one in open mode, system doesn't start. Entire heat system shuts down. I have to keep all three zone valve in Open mode. All three floors heat up just fine in Open mode. What can be the issue? Flame is still on and there is pressure and temp is is showing around 110 degree.

Can you see if the zone valves open in auto mode when there's a call for heat? If not, you need to check for 24 volts at the valves when there's a heat call, and if so perhaps the motor are shot.

When it's in Auto mode nothing happens. Baseboards are cold, system is not running. Only the small flame is on. Red motor that pumps the water is also shut off. I am assuming there is something wrogn with the zone valves. How can I check if all three or just one valve is bad?
