Williams direct-vent pilot goes out
I have a Williams 3003621 direct-vent wall furnace. The pilot goes out occasionally. Not every day, but often enough to be a nuisance when I come home from work and the house is cold. It's only a couple years old, been doing this all along but maybe a little more often now, I've been tried adjusting the pilot light, not sure if that helped or made it worse. I've been searching for images of the pilot light to see what it is supposed to look like, and now I wonder if maybe it should have tiny blue flames around the base of the generator, which is to the right of the pilot. I'd say there are probably eight of them, six that I can see so probably two behind it. I'll try to post a photo.
When the pilot stays lit, no trouble with the furnace. It will cycle on and off as called for by the thermostat.

Welcome to the forums.
It's one of two problems...... the pilot is not burning correctly, possibly caused by a partially plugged orifice, or the pilot generator may not be generating enough voltage. This is all covered in the manual for the unit. The diagnostics as well as the pilot generator voltage are listed.

It stays lit most of the time, so I'd say it's a pilot outage problem rather than pilot won't stay lit:
7. Pilot outage problem.
A. Pilot flame may be low or blowing (High), causing the safety to drop out.
Adjust pilot flame. The pilot flame should surround the generator tip 3/8-inch to 1/2-inch. Check vent tube and air inlet tube. Be sure pilot lighting door is closed. Pilot orifice or aerating hole may be plugged (check for spiders, webs or other material).
I am not sure if the pilot flame is adjusted properly, because it does not look like the picture on page 16 of the owners' manual. In the picture the flame is directed toward the generator, which is to the right of the pilot. My pilot is directed toward the main burner behind it, so it doesn't touch the generator. And the picture doesn't show the eight small flames at the base of the generator.

I don't usually work on those heaters so I can't offer any "hands on" input on that model but the pilot needs to engulf the pilot generator. If it isn't hot enough the pilot won't stay lit.
A common problem is a clogged or partially plugged orifice.

Yep. Disassemble the pilot burner and clean the pilot burner and especially the pilot orifice.
When the pilot burner gets dirty, the pilot flame no longer burns like a small blowtorch. It burns more like a candle flame with the yellow ti[pping that is easily observed in your image.
