Gas furnace quit working

Gas furnace quit working
My mom has a Lennox G23Q3 100 4 furnace that quit working today. I opened the cover and the motor is hot to the touch but nothing is running. What could the problem be?

Take the cover off the burner compartment of the furnace.
Find the rating plate in the burner compartment and post the make and model of the furnace listed there.
Carefully observe the sequence of events which occurs when you turn up the thermostat. Post that sequence here in order and in detail.
Unfortunately, you initial post is too vague to be of much help in identifying the problem.
