Trane-Air ease and Carrier furnace's- Comparison help

Have 3 quotes . Idon't know the one to go with in gas fired replacement .They have their good points and i don't know the rest. I have a 22 year old Air Ease that has bit the dust.NEW one is needed. Anything come to mind on these 3 heating plants .They are all 95% efficient.........I could use some input,Trane company is doing the test . a J- something test,?? he measured up the house really good. last nite.

which furnace would be the way to go? thanks for any help you can give bob s

ps constant running fans? don't sound right. but i am not any good on furnaces

never heard of air ease. Id stay away just for the availability of parts. If the Trane and Carrier are both 95% then they are basically the same. Go with the company you feel better about.

Maybe they said Manual J calculation? That is to figure out the proper size equipment. A good thing as most skip it and just guess.

Constant fan is controversial. If you have a high performance (ECM) motor you let it run on a low speed 24x7. Supposedly keeps temperatures more uniform and filters more air.

DC motors are fairly efficient. You also get filtered air all the time and the help with hot and cold spots. So basically it could even keep your system from running as much saving you even more. But this is about comfort.

Thats not a trane # should start with a TUH or TDH.

Trane two stage XR95, $3200.00 -------Air ease $3150.00 - $200.00 rebate and 6 extra new filters---Carrier 2 stage $ 3300.00 all installed in michigan if that makes a difference? i have the hardest time anymore making these decisions. Which of the 3 would you install Airman.....and anyone else also. help me do this . decision thanks very much bob
PS;Whats so special about the 2 stage fan!!! in these type furmaces

Did you pick one? Forgot to say earlier that the installer is more important than the system.

2 stage means that with an oversized system it can run slower/quieter most of the time. Depending on ductwork also means more uniform temperatures.

Yes i did, It took the lowest bid as per most other folks out here. And its Air Ease built by Lennox. Yes i took the installer the same.Hes a good person in character. And has good help.I wish to thank you guys helping me. bob s
