Blower will not start up.

The furnace is a Keeprite m/n NTC6125KJG1. It goes through the normal start sequence, but the blower motor does not come on? The capacitor is a 10 mf and it reads 9.25 when tested. I tried a new one just in case. I jumpered between R&G and the blower would not run. I disconnected the motor from the furnace and connected 120v across the W&B leads, the motor runs? Thoughts, before I replace the motor?

If you put 120v on the motor and it works normally..... how can it be bad ?

Did you jump from R and G AT the furnace ?
Did you hear a click from the control board ?

If the motor runs when connected directly to power, the problem is elsewhere.

There is an interlock switch on the lower cabinet and the blower won't run with the door off unless you actuate the switch. Check that to make sure the cover is actuating the switch, and make sure the switch is working (you can jumper across it temporarily to test (turn power off before jumpering it).

Measure the voltage at the motor when it should be running.

I assume the burners are lighting and staying lit?

Keeprite furnace blower

The furnace goes through the startup sequence with the interlock switch depressed, the burners light up and continue to fire until the gas valve trips out on high limit. The blower does not come on. I tried a jumper across R&G with the same result. The capacitor is not the problem, it measured 9.25 fm. I checked the W&B leads for continuity and came up with1.5 ohms. I connected power, directly to the B&W leads, the motor turns over. Not every time, but then, The motor was on the bench without the capacitor hooked up. I did not hear a clicking noise from the board? So it would seem as though the board is the culprit? How do I confirm that?

If the furnace works and the motor runs when connected to 120v it pretty much leaves the board. The blower is time delayed on and off so there are no problem heat sensors to look for.

Here's the manual for your furnace...

Thank you for your comments and the manual. Everything helps. At the end of the day, the board was the culprit and the furnace is working perfectly. Thanks again, much appreciated.
