Replaced blower still won't start

Carrier gas furnace model 58yav091-14
Installed 12/99
My blower motor burned out. I replaced it with an after market from Dayton. I also replaced the capacitor.
When I call for heat the inducer motor turns on, flame ignites. Furnace runs for a few minutes but the blower never kicks on. Furnace shuts down and code 33 (limit or flame rollout switch open. I jumped the leads between L1 and Heat and the blower starts up. I'm at a loss on what to do next.

Are you sure the motor was bad and not the control board ?

The blower turn on and off are timed functions. That means there are no external switches or sensors that can cause the blower not to work.

That leaves a defective circuit board.

I'm leaving this link as it has a good wiring diagram and schematic listed in it.

Hi PJMAX! Thanks for the quick reply.

The motor was definitely bad. I can see the burnt windings. Could the motor have ruined the board or visa verse? I guess it doesn't matter. It will have to be replaced. Is there an online site you recommend for circuit boards? HK42FZ011 is that number I need from the board?

Just so I'm clear...there is no other explanation besides a bad circuit board?

No.... the board controls the blower directly.

That is a valid board number. I buy from a local supplier. You can put that number in google and see what deals pop up. May be a few deals on eBay.

Use a multimeter to see if the circuit board is switching on 120 VAC to operate the motor.

Apply 120 VAC to your new motor to verify that it's working properly ----unfortunately, the occasion when a part fails to work is most likely to occur when it's brand new!

I took off the old board and sure enough there was a big burned out spot on the back. Took a bit of searching but I found a supply house that would sell me the board. Most here only sell to the pros. Just got home with it. Installing now.

Thanks for the help guys! Got the new board mounted and installed. Ran system test and everything looked good. Replaced the access panels and turned up the heat. Fired right up! My wife is very very happy now.
