Question Rheem roof mounted package unit....

Trying to figure out how to get a repair manual or parts list for this unit. I have done several site searches, but the model number and serial number don't show up. I got these off of the data plate located on the outside of the unit.
Anyone have any idea of where I should look?

A/C with gas.....

Just to give you an idea, this is what I was trying to locate the manual for. Seems someone had disconnected the pilot igniter. Seems to be a old style, small coil. Pretty sure I would be able to replace it with a newer electronic igniter, but would like to educate myself first... Name: 20161125_154915.jpg

I moved your thread to gas heating from heat pump forum.

I agree.... tough to find info. I keep coming up with this manual but I don't think it's the right one. Have to see if my forum partner, Houston, can find it.

The second set of numbers in the serial number should be a letter followed by the week and year of manufacture.

That looks like a very old unit. It is unlikely that you will find a manual for this unit.

Two identical units are mounted on roof. We are in a desert environment and these are used for a church, so not used like a normal residential unit would be. No snow, very little rain, a lot of sun and heat. The units themselves and heat exchanger are all in very good condition, just old. So repairing them, is the best option; don't want to replace something that is in good working order.

@PJMax: I came across that manual to, it is to new for these units. These have the old type "stove pipe" exhausts on them. Looks like they use R22 refrigerant also.

@Houston204: If you are correct, than this unit was produced in the 37th week of 1973. Which is very possible, but they are still in really good shape.

No one has an old archived copy hidden away somewhere?

The hunt will continue.

Have you looked on the backside of both service panels?

I would take a good long look at the heat exchanger.

Will do. May be a bit before I get back over there. They do have the other unit up and running, it seems to be doing well on its own.
