When I turn on my furnace the fan will run but will not ignite. Also the LCD screen on the control panel does not display the temperature in the house (even after changing the batteries.) Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!:wall:

1. In which area you live and ambient temperatures you usually experience. Savannah Ga, usually humid and in the 80's except in the summer when it's around 100 degrees. 2. House style and construction details. Small house, built in the 1950's. Little to no insulation. The people that the mortgage holder paid to fix up the house thought they would get the chance to buy it from him. When he sold it to my wife (before we dated) they did a lot of water damage and ruined a lot of the work they had done in retaliation and then left town, and it turns out they never insulated the walls to begin with. 3. Make, model and age of equipment related to the problem. The inspection tag says approved on 1/27/99 but there are no markings or postings or stickers anywhere that say what make and model this thing is. I searched inside and out. 4. Fuel type. Gas 5. Water temperature and pressures of boiler systems. Scaling hot but our water heater doesn't have a temperature gauge. 6. What type of zoning do you have with your boiler system. Residential 7. Thermostat type. Honeywell Non-Programmable Thermostat RTH111B 7. Anything else that would be useful. No detail is to small. The more information you provide the easier it becomes for the professionals in this forum to determined the cause and correction to the problem. The fan is coming on constantly and rarely turns off but for a few minutes. The burners are not lighting at all, not even seemingly trying to. I have cleaned the flame sensor with a dollar bill but it had no buildup of corrosion. I did test the flame sensor with an OHM meter and it read 1 and did not move but from what I understand it won't read unless the burners light to begin with. Lastly, the Fan Prover does not seem to be powering on. I don't really know if it is supposed to move at all. It makes no sound and the fan motor that is showing on the front of the prover is not turning it's fan. I am guessing that it is supposed to turn, just guessing (it turns by hand easily to the left and right). There is a small rubber hose leading from the prover's motor to a small black circular piece of plastic that I believe is the power source for the prover motor (it has not only the black small rubber tube but two red electrical wires that go between the "black circle" and the motor power. I have no idea how to test that box. I have a great ohm reader and the two ends of the red wires do have small clamps on each of the ends so it would be easy to remove one end of a wire and test for power but I don't know what readings, if any, I should get. The red troubleshooting light in the bottom half of the furnace is staying red, which according to the guide on the inside of the door, that means there are no troubles. The house has gas and I can turn on the gas stove and have flame. I also checked the gas line next to the heater and it is open so that is good. The furnace switch which powers the thermostat is turned on. It is in the high 20's tonight, which for savannah ga is freezing to most people. We haven't had snow in 14 years. I can still remember coming out of technical school and grabbing snow off of a car on my lunch break and tossing it at a classmate, so I remember the last it snowed pretty well. We need our heater lol. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jeremy
