Goodman Quit, High Limit Open

Happy winter, lucky it is not too cold here in NC this week and we have a nice gas fireplace that heats the house. I have a 6 year old Goodman MVC95 furnace mounted in the crawl space horizontally. Last week was a very cold week and the unit worked perfect as far as I can tell. When I saw the E3 code I checked the filters which were dirty and changed them then I checked the condensate system which is all open and running free. The intake and vent for the unit are free of junk. So then I tested continuity of the limit switches, one auto in the body was closed and the 2 on the burner rack were manual reset and they are closed. I then checked the pressure switches and the flame sensor all good. I turned the unit back on to see if it would start up it went into OP mode the draft blower came on for a few seconds then it quit and the E3 code came back on.

Help

Pull the 15 pin connecter off the board and check continuity on pin #1 orange and pin #10 pink.

Not concerned with continuity on the board. You need to check all the limits in the colored loop. They must all show continuity.

So I pull the connectors on a powered down unit and check continuity between the terminals? Just want to do this right. I have 5 limits to test correct?

found a limit on top of the blower that was tripped, I reset it and the unit came on. I guess the dirty filter overheated the fan and the limit cut in.

F7 as I found out is fan on continuous. I am going to test the capacitor and resistance on the motor windings for the different speeds.
