Help troubleshooting Furnace problem

I'm having troubles with my furnace this morning. I noticed it was cold and came downstairs to it making a buzzing noise and nothing else was running. I turned the furnace off/on and it initially will blow cold air but when I believe it should ignite it stops blowing and what I think is the motor is making a loud buzzing noise. I recently replaced the hot surface igniter which appears to be intact and in perfect condition still. The motor was quite hot so I've turned it off now to cool. Any ideas on what might need fixing would be great. Thank you.

Please post the make and model no. You can find it on a label in the burner compartment.

When you say the motor is hot, are you referring to the small motor that is attached to the inducer blower in the upper burner compartment, or the larger motor that drives the main blower in the lower compartment? If you are not sure, post a picture.

That is the draft inducer blower. It must be up to proper speed for the igniter to heat up.

If it's not running or is excessively noisy..... it will need to be replaced.

Check to be certain it's getting the proper voltage. Then pull it to make sure nothing has gotten into the housing and is jamming the wheel up. If the motor is gone then it's easier to replace the whole assembly. Those usually don't come apart well, and if you do get them apart something always winds up getting bent or cracked.
OEM for burner parts. Some of the aftermarket ones done move as much air and can cause pressure switch problems.

Make sure to have a gasket or high temp silicone handy if you remove the inducer. The gasket that's there now will rip, and that needs to be sealed properly for the furnace to function correctly.
