I would like to know if you can give me a few suggestions on how I can reduce the amount of heat I have on the second floor of the house where the bedrooms are , the house is five years old 2300 sq. ft. and we have a 2 1/2 ton air conditioner that does not cool it down completely suggestions please. Problem is

tstat is down stairs.Nothing you can do about that.Your tstat shuts cooling off when 1st floor is cool enough. It doesn't care how hot is upstairs.Go back a few threads to a respnse I gave to mica.Try running fan in on position. This will mix the cooler 1st floor air with the warmer upstairs air. Also try closing down on supply vents on 1st floor, this will force more air upstairs.PDF tdan243,read bluzsingers thread. You will notice you are not alone with upstairs being warmer.
