Manual fan mode on thermostat doesn't work but auto does

The manual fan mode on the thermostat doesn't work but auto does. This was a new furnace and AC system install over a year ago and I was very disappointed in the contractors work. I will call someone new back to the job to fix it before I call him. Hope I can get some help here before I call someone else.

The furnace is a Heil G9MVE
The AC is a Heil Performance 13 N4A3
Braeburn 2020 Thermostat with 4 wires with Rc wire jumped to Rh

If fan works with a/c then sounds like a bad thermostat.

Welcome to the forums.

At the thermostat end..... take a small piece of wire and temporarily jump from R to G. See if the blower starts then. If it does.... the stat is definitely the problem.

Thanks. I jumped R to G and blower kicked on. Man that blower is quite. So new thermostat?

Yes... that would indicate a defective thermostat because putting the stat in FAN ON mode connects the R to G.
