Cool

Hello,
I have a window westinghouse ac that's 3 years old. Starting last year, when the ac was on, sometimes it would spit out little brownish dusty looking stuff that looks like there may be mold on it. Anybody know what it is or how to get rid of it? I've tried to take it apart to vacuum it out but I can't seem to open it up enough.
Thanks,
Chet

Best bet

Remove a/c from window. If it large enough btu it fits in a sleeve. If it is low btu you will have to remove unit and than remove all screws.COVER ELECTRICAL AND FAN MOTOR with plastic and wash it with a garden hose or do the same at a car wash.CAUTION!!!!!Tap outside of unit.Wasps like to build nests in the portion that is outside the building.BE CAREFUL the fins are delicate.DO NOT BEND THEM.PDF
