Help!Carrier 9200 won't heat up??

I changed out the inducer motor cause the blower wheel was broken and making a horrible sound. (The furnace worked b4 I did this). I am not HVAC but somewhat mechanically inclined to a point. I connected the 4 long screws, placed all tubing correctly and checked (rechecked) all connections several times. The blower comes on, then the inducer motor comes on but the 3rd phase or process does not happen. I don't see an LED light on at all in the main panel or control board nor do I see any blue(flame) or orange glow up in the top burner site glass. Could it be the hot surface ignitor? Do I need to take cover off burner to check out the ignitor or can I test it with a meter. I only have a volt tester(used for outlets-see how I am not very intelligent in this area?-lol) not a multi meter with omes. Can I still test the connection instead of taking the chance of breaking a good silicone nitrite ignitor(I hope that's what's it's called). Any ideas? Already spent over $300 on the motor and hate to spend anymore esp b4 Christmas but since I shut it down for fear of gas leak(didn't smell any, not even from floor up) or that I did something stupidly wrong when changing out the part. Plus its 62 now with space heaters and 20 outside! Any ideas would be most helpful please. Thank you!

It might be your pressure switch failing to close. Check that its hoses and ports aren't blocked first. Then there's a couple ways to test a failure: Purchase a multimeter and check for continuity on the pressure switch as it tries to start, use a bypass to plug in the pressure switch's wires (ignoring the switch altogether), or simply take the hose leading to the inducer and suck like it's a straw.
