how to maintain a Trane furnace
I've got a XV90 (I think that is the #); propane furnace. Beyond filter replacement, what do I do on a schedule? About 3 years ago, I replaced the heat exchanger, by myself; so, I've been into this one as deep as possible. I had a pro do a combustion gas test and a feed pressure test immediately after that job.
One thing I noticed, is that to CLEAN some of the internals, there is a removable cover at the wet end of the combustion lines. To remove that cover, lots of items come off first; sensors, flame jets, etc. That had some wet/rusty residue on the last HE. Is that an annual task?
