Furnace Fan Cycling Problem
Hello; I have a Coleman Presidential furnace that has an issue: the fan will cycle off after 2 - 6 seconds, and remain off for about 14 seconds, all during the heating cycle. The burner continues to run during the heating cycle, until the thermostat reaches its set point. Is it ok for it to run like this?
This problem developed after I replaced the fan switch. I purchased a switch with the same label and model numbers as the bad one, purchased from repairclinic.com . Their documentation indicates that it is the correct switch. Hvacpartstore says it cycles from 95 - 115 degrees F. https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDet...Switch/2332806 https://hvacpartstore.myshopify.com/...switch-626552r
I should also note that I replaced the blower several years ago, and had noticed that the fan would cycle on & off during the heating cycle, but with much longer cycles (very approximately one minute). The company I purchased from said the new blower was stronger, and emptied the heating chamber (or whatever it's called, sorry) quicker, so the fan cycling was normal. That at least mollified me.
Thanks for any help!
