furnace not working

so i bought a house been fixing it up was told the furnace works really good now the cold season is kicking in i turned on my furnace to put heat in the house only to find that the igniter isnt glowing so i took it out and checked it and found that there was a crack in it so i went and got a new one installed it and kicked on my furnace only to find that the igniter still isnt working i took it back to where i got it they inspected the igniter and found no issues i have looked online but everything i found is useless its a new igniter so why would it be igniter issue if i google search "new igniter not glowing furnace not working". any help would be greatful thanks.

Welcome to the forums.

We need to know what type.... like make and model.... of furnace you have.
Many furnaces have a control board in the lower blower section. There may be a small clear lens where you can look in and see a trouble code blinking.

If your furnace has a draft inducer blower.... it needs to be running and prove pressure before the igniter will heat.
