Goodman furnace help!!
hello- I have a Goodman furnace and it’s starting to get cold here in Atlanta. I tried starting the heater and no ignition. The red light flashes once which I’ve read is no ignition. I’ve cleaned the flame sensor rod, verified gas is turned on (my stove works) and the filter was replaced a few days ago. When I turn the furnace on the air pump turns, the HSI glows, I can hear the gas valve click, and I think I can smell a brief and subtle odor of gas...though it’s pretty faint. After the cycle I hear the gas click back off, the HSI turns off and the blower stops..then the light again. I’m getting zero ignition. Any suggestions? Thanks I’m advance.

Welcome to the forums.
If the igniter glows bright orange/white..... then it sounds ok. If you can smell gas it means the gas valve is opening. If it doesn't light..... it could be blocked ports in the burner from rust. That would require the burner to be taken out and be cleaned.
Usually the 1 flash code is lockout. You'd need to power down the furnace and restart it for a new code.
