Ruud Gas Furnace U96V -Motor Diagnosis HELP

RE; Gas Furnace U96VA08525521MSB

Help!!
Does anyone have a link to manual, with motor diagnosis pages?

Our furnace blower isn't working. It is now winter in remote rural Canadian prairies, and we need a working furnace. For past 2 months, local heating furnace services have made several attempts to repair without success... probably because Ruud is not a familiar brand and unable to locate repair help online for this specific furnace model.

would greatly appreciate if someone has a weblink to service repair manual, with motor diagnosis pages...
OR
if someone on this forum has experience working with this specific furnace model, would greatly appreciate advice.

THank you in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

If the blower motor is of the PSC type.... it shouldn't take much to diagnose it.
It's either getting power or it's not. The control board is either supplying power or it's not.

This should be your manual..... Ruud U96V series

The link you posted is for Rheem R96V gas furnace manual..

Noticed near end of the manual -- diagnosis & troubleshooting Blower Motor Issues...will these instructions also apply for our furnace - Ruud U96V ?

Thanks

Yes..... they should. Those manuals are used for several different manufactured divisions which is why they call it -96V. The - is a wild card letter. R = Ruud
If it looks like your unit..... it should apply.

I stopped over at Ruud. Your model shows as an ECM type blower motor. These motors are expensive to service. Some have parts in the end of the motor that can burn up. Ruud has a 10 year parts warranty. Is it under that ?

Ruud U96V
