Bryant gas furnace only works intermittently
I hope someone can help. I have a 2003 Bryant natural gas furnace. Model # 350MAV036080. I go to turn the thermostat to heat and sometimes the furnace will come on and bring the house to temp and shut down as it should. The thermostat shows the furnace still running even though it is not and the temp drops below it’s setting and the furnace does not kick back in as it should. I turn the thermostat to off and I will try to turn it back on and sometimes the furnace will come on and sometimes it does not. I’m at a loss... Could it be just the thermostat needs replacing? I did not have this issue with the A/C this last summer. We are kinda short on funds and would like to avoid calling a tech to come out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Welcome to the forums.
Everyone is short on funds but the furnace is an important GAS appliance that requires routine servicing. You have a condensing furnace that operates under high efficiency and requires even more care. Call your gas provider for service.
There is a control board in the blower section that has a fault light on it. That light blinks a series of flashes that corresponds to the fault. On some units there is a sight glass thru the blower door to see the light. On others you need to remove the blower door and hold the safety door switch in to see the codes. The codes are listed on the back of the blower door. Once the blower door is opened or power is turned off.....the codes are erased.
