No heat
i have a Honeywell thermostat, says heat on but the furnace isn’t working. When we shut the furnace off and back on it works fine for a couple of hours.. then back to the same problem. Changed batteries in thermostat.

Please post the make and model of your furnace. It may have blink codes to help troubleshooting.
Also, please make sure your filters are clean and air returns are not blocked.

Your furnace is going off on an error of some sort.
Please post the model and serial number, and the error it’s failing on.

I don’t see any flashing error code lights, that may be because we just shut the furnace off and back on again. Seems to work for a couple of hours then we’re back to square one.

Welcome to the forums.
Your furnace does have a control board with a diagnostic light on it. It's down in the blower section. There is a plastic sight glass in the blower door where you can look in to see the flashing code. The codes are listed on the back of the blower door. Opening the blower door or turning off power will reset the control.
