Central heat- frequent breaker reset

I'm having an issue with my Carrier gas central heat unit. The heater will work fine but sometimes when it shuts off it will not restart. If I flip the breaker it starts. I have checked and it is not the breaker or thermostat. The breaker never trips and I bypassed the thermostat and have the same issue. I just noticed it now seems to be shutting off before reaching the set temp on the termostat. Re-powering the unit works every time. Could it be a bad burner, flame sensor or other sensor? I guess I better check the flame sensor.

Your cycling the power and resetting the lockout error.
What error is shown on the board when it fails?
Don’t start replacing parts until it’s diagnosed. Doing so will empty your wallet and still leave you with a broken furnace.

Could be one of many things. Posting the model number is the first place to start. It can be found inside on the sidewall near the burner. Check the blower door for a sight glass. That furnace may have a control board with a fault LED.
