Question

My A/C will not shut off after reaching set temp. I recntly changed the thermostat thinking it was the problem,
but that didn't work, the A/C keeps running after the set temp has been reached. I hope you can give me some type of
idea of what's wrong with the unit. The unit is a Bryant
model# 517en024075. The unit has a mercury thermostat, which is level. In order to shut the unit off the thermostat temp has to be increased.

so how do you get it to turn off? raise the temp some more?
is it a mercury T-stat? if so, It needs to be level. or it may be a relay, or outdoor Condenser sticking, can't tell at this point
