Blower motor in furnace

Blower motor in furnace

I have a synder general comfortmaker model gud040a012aim dated 1/84. My blower fan motor literally burned up where I can not get the spec's off the motor to replace it. Help please

Welcome to the forums.

That furnace is 35 years old. Have you given any thought to replacing it ?
Have you had the unit professionally serviced ?
The heat exchangers are under a lot of heat stress. They get brittle and crack from age as well as rust thru.
C.O. can be released in the house if the exchanger is not intact.

As far as a blower motor. I saw several that could work but they were over $600.
With the physical dimensions and the wire quantity you could get a replacement from a place like Graingers.

Thank you for the information, I thought I could find another motor until I was ready to replace the system.

Would you happen to have the spec's for the motor. I looked into a new system for my condo but unfortunately California is a "rip you off state" on pricing so 600 sounds better than 7000 to 9000 thousand dollars for my small unit.
