[RESOLVED] Remove condensate trap on Carrier Furnace 9250
Hi,
I have a follow up question to https://www.doityourself.com/forum/gas-oil-home-heating-furnaces/583246-removing-carrier-furnace-condensate-trap.html.
I was able to remove the fitted pipes on the condensate trap, however cant figure out how to take out the condensate trap from the box. The condensate trap has 2 push in levers on the side, but the hole in which the trap is fixed seems to be too small to take it out in either upward or downward direction. I want to take out my blower motor for replacement, the condensate trap is coming in the way, so need to take out the condensate trap as well. I have the same assembly as in https://www.doityourself.com/forum/gas-oil-home-heating-furnaces/583246-removing-carrier-furnace-condensate-trap.html
Any ideas?
[EDIT]: I was able to figure this out. My condensate trap had PVC piping installed which was hindering movement. Once I cut it out, the trap came out through the bottom after pushing in the levers and tilting the trap in the opposite direction of the drain out
