Amana Propane Furnace is not Igniting

I have an Amana propane furnace that is about a year old. It stopped working today and I found that the electric igniter is turning on when it tries to start and there will be a short burst of flame but it wonít stay lit. The igniter will then turn off and it will retry the ignition process but the same thing will happen. I cleaned off the flame detection sensor and changed the filter but neither worked. Any ideas of what it might be? Thank you!

Welcome to the forums.

Is this a hot surface igniter or an intermittent spark/pilot ignition ?

Ok. So the flame burns for 4-6 seconds and then goes out or is just a very brief flame.... under one second ?

The flame rod should not be dirty in one year although it could be if the burner wasn't burning correctly. At one year you should call back the installer and have the propane pressures tested.

Itís just a very brief flame under a second. Iíll reach out to the installer on Monday to see if they can pressure test the propane.
