no call for heat after initial startup
I have a york gas fired heating/air system. Just used heat for the first time last week. heat fired up just fine, but after it reached the temp and shut off, only the blower fan comes on and there is no call for heat (error code).
I just bought a new thermostat. All is hooked up properly (5 wire set up).
Could something else have gone bad?

Is there an active error on the furnace? What is it?
How did you wire the new thermostat?
Is there an active call for heating at the furnace?

i have green to G, Red to R (there is a jumper in the R to RH in the thermo) White to W, yellow to Y Blue to Common
if I shut power to the furnace completely, and then turn back on, the furnace will call for heat, everything starts up, and will shut off once it hits the set temp on the themostat, then, just the blower comes on after that and the continuous blinking light which is no call for heat.
I figured if my wires were wrong, it would not call for heat initially.

The unit is likely shutting off on an error. That’s what the blinking light is for.
The code schematic should be written on the back of the blower door.

Then I’d test for a call for heat with your meter. See if it’s actually calling to run or not.
