Trane xl80 furnace issues
I have a trane xl80 and the transformer is fried. It actually fried in front of me as the guy tried to power up the furnace.
Right now there are three black wires connected to each other and 3 white wires.
When the 3 black wires are all connected the blower is running not stop.
After looking at the transformer, I see it says
Black. White
com. 115
The 115 coming into the unit is black. my question is could he have wired it wrong and caused the transformer to blow out?
What’s the best way to install the new transformer without blowing this thing out again?
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums.
The AC wiring...... white and black.... will not blow the transformer out if reversed.
More than likely you have a short on the 24vAC side.
You may need an ohmmeter to check for a short on the R furnace connection.
