Heating cycle repeats even though actual room temperature is same as set temp
Hello,
I was wondering if I can get help on the behavior of my heating furnace.
Basically my set temp is 75F (but can be any other). Once temperature drops to 74F, the heater turns on and works as suppose to. Once thermostat sees 75F, the heater turns off but then right away turns on again and repeats the heating cycle even though thermostat shows 75F as set point and actual temperature.
This kind of behavior started recently. Any idea what to check or what could cause heater to start heating cycle again after it just finished heating cycle?

Welcome to the forums.
The furnace heats and then shuts off due to set temperature reached. Then it restarts.
Does the furnace/burner actually start again or just the blower ?
If the actual burner restarts.... that would be a thermostat problem.
Possibly batteries if a battery model.
If just the blower starts.... with NO burner..... that could be a high limit fault in the furnace.
