Two zone heating not working properly
Second floor heating works perfect. First floor heating blows cold air when the second floor heating reaches the temperature set in the thermostat. When the second floor blows hot air, the first floor blows hot air too. Is there any way that I can set the first floor to blow hot air when the second floor is off?

Welcome to the forums.
Zoning systems can be sophisticated and tough to diagnose.
What makes it even harder is that we know nothing about your system.
Typically when a call for heat ends..... so does the blower. In another words.... when the call for heat ends upstairs.... the first floor shouldn't be running and if it is.... it should be hot air.

When the thermostat is satisfied, many hot air heating system blowers continue to run to cool down the furnace as well as providing additional heat. Some controls use heat and others use time to control the length of time the blower continues to run after the thermostat is satisfied. Could be this function needs adjustment on the furnace control.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for replying.
I am not very familiar with the system as I am new to this. I moved into this house in September. I didn’t turned the heat on until recently. Is a brand new home/system. I believe is forced air heating as it comes out from the ac system. There are two ac units outside and in the attic (I assume is the furnace?).
I don’t think the cold air coming out is to cool down. Because when the thermostat on the second floor is set for 70 and the temperature is 71, there is no heating coming out. The first floor thermostat is set for 70 and the temperature is 68, the first floor heating will just blow cold air. It could drop to 65 degrees the heat won’t turn on until the second floor drops to 69. If the second floor doesn’t drop below the set temperature in the thermostat, the first floor won’t turn on.

Hi, if this is a new home, talk to the builder and have him get his HVAC contractor to explain the system and make sure it is working as it should.

We need more information.
You said you have two outside units (condensers)...... that means you have two air handlers or furnaces inside. We need to know if you have heat pump systems or gas furnaces.
It sounds like you have heat pumps and one may have a problem.
