Code 34 shows up, I turned power off to reset, furnace fan starts, runs for 30 seconds or so then shuts off, exhaust fan starts then Hot surface igniter glows, no burner ignition, hsi stops glowing, starts glowing again after a moment, again no ignition at the burner, does this another time then shuts down. I turned power off and reset again. While going through the same cycle, I tested the voltage at the gas valve when hsi is glowing, I get 24v means gas valve should open right? I also tried igniting the burner manually with bbq igniter while hsi is
glowing, no ignition. Is there anything I’m missing? It seems like the gas valve is faulty. Can anyone offer advice please. Thank you

Welcome to the forums.
Did you check for voltage with the wires connected to the gas valve ?
You'll only measure 24vac there for about seven seconds when the valve should open.
If that valve has an ON/OFF switch on it..... work it a few times.
Carefully take the wires off the valve and see if the contacts are dirty. Sometimes just removing the wires and reconnecting them is enough.
