Low voltage wiring
Hi all; It's been awhile. I had two incidents with low voltage wiring lately. The first was on my relay control panel . I was looking in my LV panel box because I am redoing a bathroom, and I drained the HW system and I pulled the relay for that zone. While I was in there, I guess i touched some of the many LV wires in there. As i touched the wires I heard clicking. After a couple more touches, and clicking , I guested that some of the terminals might need tightening , and that took away the clicking. The almost same thing happened to my irrigation controller. I started it up this morning, and it stopped right in my face. So after 20 minuets of checking every scenario , I touched some of the low voltage zone panel wiring , It started up, again I tightened up all of the LV terminals on the circuit board. So I guess the message is check the LV circuit terminals once in a while, I guess every 5 or 10 years, some of those terminals might have 2,3,or more wires in them, and I guess they might work loose over time. Stay Safe.
