Carrier furnace not working!

Carrier furnace carrier Model: 58sta090---10114

I woke up today to a black screen on my ecobee thermostat so I immediately ran out and got a replacement only to find out there is a bigger issue.

The things I have noticed while trying to figure out the problem.

The blower does not turn on but the ignitor ignites and flames are produced.

The blowers fan spin freely but the outside coil part? that the is connected to the blower gets to hot to touch.

I hear a low pitch noise coming form somewhere when turning the heat on in the unit.

The diagnostic light on the mainboard is static red so it has power.

I'm not sure where to go from here. Because the blower isnt kicking on I would assume its the blower or blower module. But that doesn't explain why the ecobee would not be getting power...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT UPDATE:

So it appears that after shutting the furnace off for 5 minutes, via the switch on the side. Restores power to my ecobee. It appears something is triggering a safety power cut after several minutes of trying to start the blower.

Your furnace has overheat/thermal safety switches. When triggered from overheating.... they lock the blower on and disconnect the R (24v) power from the thermostat connection block. The basic switches are self resetting when the furnace cools down. Don't keep running the furnace in this manner.

The hum you are hearing is the blower motor locked up when it should be spinning. There is a chance that the run capacitor located near the blower motor is defective. You can try changing that first.

In most cases I've found that the motor bearing closest to the blower wheel goes bad requiring a motor change.

For reference only

Thank you for the quick reply PJ!

If I do have to replace the motor, would you advise against a 3rd party replacement? The OEM motors are quite pricy...

You can use the OEM part number to locate a sub. Be sure to order the capacitor too.
I rarely use an OEM unless the customer demands it.

Interesting motor - 0131F00041S ..... Goodman blower motor

The 3rd party one that keeps coming up is Packard 43785 , I notice it has 4 speeds not 3 speeds like the oem. Would that require an extra wire to be connected to the mainboard?

No..... you can just wire nut it off. You can select which three you want and cap off the fourth.
