Single Dad Stumped on Coleman MSR-C Oil Furnace/Wayne Burner/Suntec Pump
I bought this place (mobile home) couple months ago and recently fired the furnace (tank is full) and started cutting out like it wanted to shut down then it would kick back on. Then it eventually wouldn't ignite on the reset at all. I removed the gun assembly, and the nozzle was caked on an obnoxious level so I figured I had it pegged. I replaced with a 80°A , caring not to touch the face of the nozzle or the strainer with my fingers, you have to be electrodes properly because they were initially like an inch apart no exaggeration and reassembled everything bled it out and it still goes into lockout mode. I took care to set the face of the nozzle 1 ⅛" back from the head of the burner as well. I cleaned and set up the gun assembly to the "old" spec (⅛, ⅛, ½) and very gently scuffed the buss bars and springs to ensure they were clean. I tested spark @ the transformer springs and was able to "walk" my spark about ¾"-1". It (transformer)doesn't show weakness like it's slowly failing. The blower wheel turns freely but not too easily and it doesn't need forcing to turn. So motors good right? I don't have a multi-meter handy to check ohms at cad relay or cell but that shouldn't matter cause it should still ignite and it's not. I noticed when it Initiates safety lockout I noticed a blue arc flashing from inside the box when it kicked the reset button. I checked connections at relay terminals and all is well no stray wires frayed out or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated bc I'm feeling pretty defeated on this one. This is my first time ever asking a forum for anything bc usually I can solve my issues by reading about others. Thank you in advance The nozzle when I initially pulled it out
Have a 1985 trane ac / heater #BLU055F93681 in my camp house that is not wanting to light. Thermostat is new, used it for summer. The pilot will light, but not getting gas to start the two burner rails. It tried to start once, got about 1/4 of the way down one rail and then went out. Worked fine during last winter snow in centeral Texas. What to check. Service tech will not drive to camp, because he charges milage. too steep for me. What can I check?
I have a 2005 American standard Trane Gas/Electric YCC model unit (info in picture). When I put the thermostat in heat mode The unit cuts on and seems like everything is working fine but no hot air ever blows through the vents. When it kicks in the fan just blows. I have changed the batteries in the thermostat, changed the 3amp fuse inside the unit, made sure all wires are secure inside thermostat, examined the circuit board (it looks fine) and pulled the kill switch and placed it back in. I have also tried turning the heat all the way up to its highest temp. Thinking that may kick it in but nothing has worked. We live in WV and it’s starting to get in the 30’s at night if somebody could help me I would be so thankful. Let me no what I can do to help you or if you need me to snap Some pictures. Thanks in advance
