Condensate Pump

Carrier 59TN6A
Installed 1/2015

Woke up this morning hearing pump running constantly, water on floor.
It usually runs maybe 20 seconds.

With the pump removed when the furnace is running I'm getting a pretty
steady drip into my water basin. This okay till I order a new pump?

Thanks very much

Condensate pumps last a long time. When they stop working it is usually a clogged line or the sump needs cleaning. Before ordering a new pump I would open up yours and see what the reservoir looks like inside. Also, blow air through the discharge line to make sure it's not clogged.

Right you are, it was a clogged check valve. Thank you.

After a few videos I managed to get it cleaned up so it works.

The reservoir had the most awful slime in it, that was an adventure cleaning.
This is my first time having a high tech furnace, lots to learn.

Thanks again.

I clean my condensate pump every couple years. My house and in my rental houses condensate reservoirs all grow the nastiest blob of snot. Luckily it's easy to remove and clean.
