Trane XE70 won't ignite

So, I have a trane furnace XE70 and the model number is TUS100A936A1. I installed a new spark igniter and relite transformer module.. I get about 30 volts to the T1 terminal of the relite (transformer) module and the T2 side will read 30+ volts, drop to zero and goes back up to 30. with the voltage drop at T2, it seems to me that the switch is closing inside the gas valve the voltage drops to zero and when it opens I get the 30 volts across the voltmeter. I don't hear any clicking, so I assume the relay on the gas valve isn't opening the valve to allow gas flow to the burners. Does this sound like the gas valve is bad?? also, would that keep the igniter from sparking?

Thanks for any help

If T1 and T2 are the transformer secondary, the voltage should be 24 vac and present as long as 120 vac is applied to the transformer primary. Does your voltmeter read AC volts?

you can see the pilot relite t1/t2, just below time delay circuit on the diagram. this generates the high voltage to the spark igniter. the time delay is built into the gas valve

There's a problem there and I'm trying to figure it out.

On a call for heat the spark module gets 24v and so does the gas valve. How does the gas valve know when the burner is lit. I don't see any flame sense in the circuit.

There is a flame sensor. i believe it is going into the gas valve, right above and behind the blue wire in the photo. I couldn't find it on they drawing either. And to answer beelzebob. yes, I am getting an ac voltage reading. not sure why it shows 30 instead of 24. i could have a faulty meter
