Pilot Starts and Shuts After 1 Sec on Lennox WhisperHeat
Hi everyone!
Weird behavior on my Lennox WhisperHeat this morning. The pilot fails to stay on and shuts off after 1 sec. I cleaned it, looks ok. Any idea what this would be?
Short video here showing the pilot starting and shutting off after 1 sec:

Thanks a TON!!

Hard to tell. Dont think flame sensor as it is too short of an ignight. If there is a exhaust fan on that model can be a pressure switch or board failure. I always lean towards the board.
There are tests you can do.

Thanks!
This is the G20Q3/4E-100, 23 years old. The funny thing is that I installed it back and started working. Hmm... Also have the technician here poking around.
No exhaust fan on this, might need a new heater.
Thanks!

With the age of that unit..... be sure to have the heat exchange inspected.
Some of the Whisperheat units had exchanger rust thru issues.
By looking at that pilot I'd say it looks like it needs the pilot orifice cleaned.
The pilot spreader doesn't look to good either.

Thanks Pete!
We decided in the end to replace the heater since it stopped working altogether.
After those years it was about time.
Thanks for all the help!!
