Thermopride oill furnace needs to be reset after not running for a while

The furnace repairman is perplexed. If I turn it on at the thermostat it's fine. However if it hasn't run for a while it won't turn itself back on and I have to go down and reset it. The cad and the eye are new the flame is bright and the right color - all the right stuff is happening.
Could this be a bad thermostat?

No, itís not a thermostat problem. Sounds like it may be starting to loose prime.
When was the last time the furnace was cleaned and adjusted?

Welcome to the forums.

As mentioned.... not a thermostat problem.
When the burner reset trips.... the problem is burner related.
