Help its Christmas eve its freezing and my furnace stopped working

i have an old luxaire furnace it just stopped working when i turn the thermostat on to call heat nothing happens i don't even smell gas

Do you have electricity? Have you verified the circuit breaker for the furnace is not tripped?

Do you have a model number for this furnace?
It is often located by the burner section of the furnace.

Do you have a multimeter?

Does the thermostat show as heating ?
Maybe it needs new batteries ?

What fuel source does your furnace use? Natural gas? Propane? Fuel Oil?

Normally I wouldn't think you should smell gas.
