gas furnace turning on and off
I have a gas ( propane ) furnace in my home ( attic ) and it keeps turning off and on ( short cycling ). Replaced the flame sensor but is still doing it. Thanks....... Steve

If you tell us what furnace you have (brand AND model number) we can offer more specific advice. Check the switch for the exhaust blower. They often clog or quit working and will shut down the furnace.

Odd that furnace will restart (assuming tstat calling for heat) once it shuts down due to change in state from closed to open of exhaust blower sensor. Most controls require a exhaust blower sensor change in state from open to closed for the furnace start up to continue. Is your problem with both start up and shut down?

The GMP furnaces had known issues with the heat exchanger. Pull the blower and inspect the crimp rings at the bottom of the cells before continuing. If they are popped off you’ll need a new heat exchanger or new furnace.
What error is displayed when it fails?
Does this unit have a propane pressure safety switch?

Upon further review it was the blower motor turning on and off. Status light on, no blinking. Took the limit switch out, blew it off, pushed it in a few times and put it back in. Works perfect now. Went ahead and ordered a new limit switch anyway. Thanks everyone for the advice, much appreciated......... Steve
