Goodman 2005 gas furnace blower runs no flashing error light
Goodman 2005 gas furnace blower runs no flashing error light. The light stays on. I have turned the power off and on. I hear 1 click the the fan starts. Thermostat is above set at 70 room temp is 61. I have tried tapping on the overheat switch. I have not taken it out. It is awkward to get to 2nd screw.
Help wife is chilly!

Your hear a click and what fan starts ?

The main air blower or the draft inducer ?
If it's the main blower.... is on you may have a tripped high limit switch and the board should show that fault.
I prefer the model number..... not the group.
It's on the ID tag on the side wall near the burner.

The main blower is running. I thought it was the high limit switch but the board does not show any fault. It is lit constantly.

The model number is on the tag on the INSIDE of the furnace near the burner.
That is the model number for the a/c coil.
You should power down the furnace. Then power it back up.
If the main blower is running... you will need to remove the G wire from the control board to see if you have a thermostat problem. If it continues to run and you don't get a four flash fault... the control board may be bad.

Hey Pete thanks for the prompt help. We are abandoning ship and heading over to my sisters for the night.
I will check the G wire tomorrow am.
Again thanks for the help!

I disconnected the G wire and the main blower fan continued to run.

Technician called but last chance..
Turned off furnace then on, it will start and cycle until the the igniter glows hot. It will cycle 1 time, retries 3 then shuts off.
The led then flashes 1
Filters are new, no blockage.
Downstairs furnace is operating correctly.

A one flash is high limit open and control board IN lockout.
When the furnace is running..... it should show a fault code as the fault happens.
After the fault happens three times it flashes one time which is called lockout.
Once that board is in lockout you need to disconnect power to reset it.
You need to determine what is causing the fault.
It typically takes sitting there and watching it.
The faults are discussed on page 28-29.
