Trane XV80 is just a group name.
I see several models of igniter listed for that group.

You need to post the complete model number for precise help.
It can be found inside on the side wall near the burner.

I mostly work on Carrier furnaces so I’m not very much help with your trane furnace without being onsite to properly diagnose things, but if memory serves from dealing with some of the trane xv series I’ve dealt with, they originally had an 80v maybe 90v igniters not 120v igniters as are standard on all other furnaces…. So you would replace the igniter with one of those but If the circuit board was replaced on your furnace with an updated version then you will now probably need a 120v igniter.

Help please! Bryant pulse 90 ignitor failure

We have a 23 year old Bryant PLUS 90 natural gas furnace. A few years ago we had to replace the mother board. Then again a few years after that. Also ignitor probe thing gets carbon on it, the repair guy says, and we have to keep calling him for repair which is him cleaning off the probe. Then this repeats randomly during the heating season. Is this normal?? Do we have the wrong probe for the mother board? How can we tell? Hubby wants a new furnace. Help!

Bryant never made a pulse furnace. Lennox did.
Bryant did make a furnace around 20 years ago that’s affected by a class action lawsuit for faulty heat exchangers.
