AC air not cold!
#1

Please help!! We have a natural gas AC unit. I think it is about 8 years old. It was working fine cooling our whole house until last week. Now the unit will blow air when we turn it on, but the air is not cold, it just feels like air from a fan. We know nothing about this and we just bought the house about 2 months ago. I am a little nervous about calling a service man because we are at their mercy. If anyone could give me an ideas, I would appreciate it. How do I find a honest repair person?
Thanks,
Tiffany

What brand and model # is the equipment?
Also check the power supply breakers or fuses. Look inside of the unit for something like a RESET button to push. Look around for burned or heat damaged wires. The problem may be quite simple.
Find the Owner's manual and look at their suggestions. If it is lost and gone...try the manufacturer's website.

thanks for your suggestion. One of the breakers that runs the AC unit was flipped, when I tripped it, the unit started to blow cold air. This worked for almost ten hours, then the breaker tripped again and no more cold air. I am concerned that the breaker is shutting off for some safety reason, my husband said our house is just quirky and we can just keep flipping the switch. Got any advice about this?
Inside the unit reads Amana Air Command Hi Efficiency 90 Gas Furnace. The unit outside side lists the model # VRCF24U01C, MFG NO P9885211C and Serial # 8907100315. This is all I can see on the unit. I have contacted the Amana website but not heard anything back yet.
