Question

A contractor I spoke with about replacing my current gas forced hot air system is recommending a hydro-air system instead. However, he's only installed hydro-air systems with single speed air handlers. Does anyone know if this type of system can be installed with a variable speed air handler. I'm asking this because it seems that the climate can be made more consistent with a variable speed air hander.

Yes

a 2 speed fan motor can be installed. You would need a switch to change from hi to low speed.OR a relay could be used with a second tstat to shift the fan from hi to low speeds.PDF
