Hydro-air system and variable speed air handler?

A contractor I spoke with about replacing my current gas forced hot air system is recommending a hydro-air system instead. However, he's only installed hydro-air systems with single speed air handlers. Does anyone know if this type of system can be installed with a variable speed air handler. I'm asking this because it seems that the climate can be made more consistent with a variable speed air hander.

Yes

a 2 speed fan motor can be installed.You would need a switch to change from hi to low speed.OR a relay could be used with a second tstat to shift the fan from hi to low speeds.PDF

I am having a heating problem with a house that I purchased last year. The front part of the house heats fine, while the rear of the house gets a bit chilly in the winter. The coldest part of the house is the master bedroom, which is a recent addition. There are three forced air vents in the bedroom, but there is no cold air return in that part of the house. The only cold air return vent in the front part of the house, and is 16 by 16. Would adding a second cold air return in the bedroom help fix this problem?

Is it normal for fan motor to be to hot to touch for any length of time? And also is the fan limit switch (dial) and the high temp shutoff switch one and the same? I have older furnace. Thanks
