Question vent problems

What can be done if the air flow from one room to the other is noticeably different. I mean in the living room you can hear the air coming out of the ducts. Now int he master bedroom the air just sort af just falls out. Even if you close all the vents except theones in the master room it still is not increasing like it does with the rest of the house. I checked to see if there is a leak in the vent connections and no there is not. I am thinking of getting rid of one vent that is not used, this vent is also connected to the one that goes into the bedroom. What else can I do before I get rid of one vent. Any thing would be appreciated!
