Add on heat duct to basement

I have a finished basement which I am heating with electric heat. I would like to add on a heat supply duct from my forced air furnace to add a little more heat to the room. There is an existing heat supply duct that is located in the furnace room off the main finished room in my basement. Can I reroute this duct to supply an additional heat source to my main room without supplying a return duct. If so -- I would be installing it in a 2x4 studded wall. Do I need to install a 4 sided metal duct between the studs. And do they make a duct to fit in a 2x4 wall. Any help appreciated

You can use round or square duct. A return would be good. Remember, you will be taking heat and air away from the rest of the house. Make sure your system is big enough.
