heating blower motor replacemnt

need your expertise please. i am replacing a motor in gaffer& sattler forced heat unit (20 years), i am having a heck of a time getting the motor out of the shroud. also how do i disconnect the power cord ? from the motor, or the unit itself? Help!

Hello: guidance

I'm not sure which model furnace you have but you only need to remove the entire fan housing, motor and fan cage included inside the assembly. The electric motor repair shop can remove and replace the motor for you.

The fan motor is a direct wire connection. There should wire cap nuts on the ends of the twisted wire ends. Be sure the electrical power to the entire heater is OFF prior to attempting any of the repairs.

Other professionals replying within this forum, may have alternate suggestions. Check back several times.
